Whitesnake Classics Slide It In, Whitesnake, and Slip of the Tongue Return to Vinyl

Craft Recordings reissues three defining Whitesnake albums from the 1980s on vinyl in original U.S. formats with exclusive color editions.

Craft Recordings will reissue three of Whitesnake’s multi-Platinum albums—Slide It In (1984), Whitesnake (1987), and Slip of the Tongue (1989)—on vinyl September 18. The releases come in their original U.S. 1-LP configurations alongside limited-edition color variants.

The reissues feature hits like “Here I Go Again,” “Is This Love,” “Still of the Night,” and “Fool for Your Loving.” Standard black vinyl pressings will be widely available, while exclusive versions include the self-titled album on “Tan Smoke” via Walmart and “Stone Marble” through Revolver. Craft Recordings’ website offers limited-edition versions of Whitesnake in “Gold Black Ice,” Slide It In on “Onyx,” and Slip of the Tongue in “Crimson Moon.”

These albums capture Whitesnake’s rise from a British blues-rock band to an ’80s hard rock powerhouse led by David Coverdale. Slide It In marked the band’s move toward a leaner hard rock sound, becoming a double-Platinum U.S. release. The 1987 self-titled album propelled Whitesnake to global fame with Billboard Hot 100 hits and iconic MTV videos featuring Tawny Kitaen. Slip of the Tongue showcased guitar work from Steve Vai and continued the band’s chart success, reinforcing their place in rock history.

Pre-orders are available now, with official release set for September 18.
