Skid Row Introduce Justin Sargent as New Lead Singer with “Won’t Get Fooled Again” Cover

After a global search, Skid Row found their new frontman in New Jersey ahead of their 40th anniversary.

Skid Row have named Broadway alum Justin Sargent as their new lead singer, marking a fresh chapter for the legendary hard rock band as they celebrate 40 years. Sargent, who was discovered after an extensive worldwide search, impressed the band with his powerful vocals and stage presence.

Bassist Rachel Bolan said, “It felt like he had been here from the beginning as soon as he walked in the room. He was one of us. A lifer. Then he sang with so much power and conviction, it blew me away.” Guitarist Dave “Snake” Sabo added that despite many talented auditioners, they instantly knew Sargent was the right fit.

Sargent, who has a rich Broadway background including roles in “Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark” and “Rock Of Ages,” expressed excitement about joining Skid Row. He praised the chemistry with the band and looked forward to connecting with fans.

To introduce Sargent, Skid Row released a new cover of The Who’s classic “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” produced by Grammy-winning Nick Raskulinecz, who worked on their 2022 album The Gang’s All Here. The powerful track and accompanying video showcase the band’s renewed energy and commitment to their legacy and future.
