Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, one of modern rock’s most enduring collaborations, are set to release their fifth studio album, Flying Blind, on February 26, 2027 via Gibson Records. The announcement comes with the release of the album’s anthemic title track and music video.
Recorded primarily live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida with longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, the album showcases the band’s raw and spontaneous approach. The 12-track record was completed in about a week, with the band playing together in the same room to capture their immediate and instinctive chemistry.
Slash describes Flying Blind as a “fun, kind of spontaneous rock ’n’ roll record” that is straightforward and raw. The title track was created spontaneously during pre-production and quickly became the natural choice as the lead single. Myles Kennedy notes the song’s lyrical focus on taking shortcuts in the pursuit of happiness and enlightenment.
The band also announced the Flying Blind World Tour 2027, launching in Latin America in April before moving to North America, the UK, and Europe. The North American leg includes notable venues like The Wiltern in Los Angeles and the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Tickets go on sale October 9.
In support of the album release, Slash and the band have partnered with Fandiem for a charitable sweepstakes benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The grand prize includes a trip to Wales to meet Slash backstage at Cardiff Castle.
Flying Blind marks the band’s first full-length since 2022’s 4 and captures their wide-ranging hard rock sound melding spontaneity with focused musicianship. The album highlights Slash’s guitar and pedal steel performances alongside Myles Kennedy’s powerful vocals and the robust rhythm section of Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz, and Frank Sidoris.
Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators continue to thrive after 15 years and five albums, carrying rock ’n’ roll forward with enthusiasm and authenticity.
