Jackson has unveiled four Limited Edition Legend Series signature models, each faithfully recreated from the iconic instruments originally crafted for heavy metal pioneers David Ellefson, Marty Friedman, Randy Rhoads, and Scott Ian.
The collection includes the David Ellefson CB V Concert Bass, Marty Friedman Kelly KE-1, Randy Rhoads CD1, and Scott Ian Rhoads RR22. These vintage-inspired designs capture the sound and style that helped define heavy metal and bring these legendary guitars and basses to a new generation of players.
David Ellefson praised the Concert bass for its sleek, fast action and ability to support his aggressive playing. Marty Friedman described the KE-1 as a culmination of his vision for the ultimate heavy metal guitar, highlighting its premium components and design. Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio, sister of Randy Rhoads, said the new CD1 model continues Randy’s lasting impact on rock and metal guitar. Scott Ian reflected on his Rhoads RR22 as foundational to his tone and a key instrument on Anthrax’s early albums.
Jackson’s 45-year legacy is deeply tied to these artists, who helped shape metal’s sound, look, and influence from Ozzy Osbourne to Anthrax and Megadeth. This signature series celebrates their lasting contributions and makes their classic instruments accessible to today’s players.
