Greek power metal band Firewind will release their new studio album, Gods, Myths & Titans, on February 19, 2027, via BLKIIBLK, Frontiers Label Group’s heavy metal imprint.
Led by guitar virtuoso Gus G, known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne and King Diamond, Firewind crafted this concept album over two years, drawing from Greek mythology. The record blends their classic metal sound with cinematic and orchestral elements, offering a new dimension to their signature style.
Henning Basse returns as lead vocalist, contributing a powerful and distinctive voice that complements the band’s evolving sound. The album features tracks that explore stories of gods and heroes, including the first single, “The Legend Of Achilles,” which is out now with an accompanying lyric video.
Gus G explains, “Each track is a gate to a different myth… These are tales of power, glory, tragedy, and defiance.” Visual artist Felipe Machado provided unique artwork for each song, enhancing the album’s epic atmosphere.
Firewind recently completed a busy summer of European festivals and will tour the U.S. and Canada supporting Ensiferum, alongside a return to ProgPower festival.
Gods, Myths & Titans represents a pivotal moment for Firewind and Frontiers Label Group, marking their debut release on BLKIIBLK. With memorable melodies, orchestral arrangements, and Gus G’s guitar prowess, this album stands as a career-defining statement and one of 2027’s significant heavy metal releases.
